Genius Sports Partnership
BWF has announced a partnership with Genius Sports, a global leader in sports data technology, distribution and integrity services. This partnership gives BWF the capacity to monitor betting patterns of badminton matches across a wide range of tournaments globally. This agreement is part of BWF’s integrity programme and it is one of the strategies BWF is using to monitor match play. This agreement follows an extensive engagement with Genius Sports in 2017 in monitoring betting patterns in badminton matches.
The agreement will see Genius Sports provide BWF with its state-of-the-art bet-monitoring system, which compares real-time odds movements from global betting markets with bespoke algorithmic models and intelligence from hundreds of betting operators, to identify and flag irregular activity in real time.
