Deputy President Gustavo Salazar Resigns

BWF has received notification from Gustavo Salazar Delgado that he has decided to tender his resignation for the position of BWF Deputy President due to personal matters not related to BWF business.

The BWF President has accepted Gustavo’s resignation and has acknowledged and thanked Gustavo for his service on Council.

BWF now has a casual vacancy for the position of Deputy President and as per clause 18.15 of the BWF constitution, “a person acting in that role shall be appointed by Council from within Council and a successor shall be elected for the remainder of the original term at the next AGM” taking into account the notice periods required under clause 15.1 for the calling of nominations. The earliest that an election can be held for the position is the BWF AGM in May 2019.
